Mopanshan Dock is 28 kilometers away from Guilin city。 It got its name because of its nearness to the Mopanshan. The total surface area of the dock is 233350  square meters of 460m long , 8 berths and 40,000 square meters water area. The deepth of the water is over 1.2m in dry season and can open for all year round. The dock has 16000 square meters parking square , 1000m rode in the dock and 3070km frist-class road for entering the dock. With the total investment of 21 millions Mopanshan Dock can handle up to 5 million tourists a year.

The Mopanshan Dock was equiped with full sets of facilities. Its building surface areas are 2611 square meters, including five waiting roomms: one wating room for diable people and three ordinary wating rooms and an VIP wating room. Moreover, it also has advanced and completed production equipment such as vehicles storage、water supply、power supply、wire communication、broadcasting、electronic showing board etc. and kinds of logistic and life facilities such as bazaar, hotel, market and dormitory buildings for the staffs.

Located at place where the river bed condition is nice, stable and without silt, the architecture structure of the dock adopted straight and slope mix-structure with the first two straight steps,the last two slope and four steps flat and linking together in the middle. There are walking steps for the tourists at each parking place. The architecture style of the dock is classical garden with over 80% afforesting. There are some places for the tourists to have a rest and some stone statues works. The main architectures were adopted the style of northen part of the province combining with the Japanese architecture style, making it into a aunique scenery and harmony with the local landscape.

On December26,1990, the Mopanshan Dock of Guilin began to be built with the investment of 11,322,900yuan in the first period. The program was consisted of 3.07km road for entering, 6 berths, 360m long dock, 10000 square meters parking places and 2611 square meters waiting building.

The first part of the project was designed by the Guangxi transportation planning and reconnitering institution. The Infrastructure Project Company of Guilin was in charge of the construction of the dock and the Department of the Water Way Project was in charge of the road for entering the dock. The project was completed in October15, 1993. After  checked before acceptace, the whole project except for the waiting building was regareded as project of high quailty. In 1997, the second period of expension was began to build 2 more berths of 100m long and new 6000m2 parking square. In 2002, the construction of the third period started which was planning to invest 1,980,000yuan to build 3 more berths. And after the accomplishment of the construction of third period, the number of the berths will be up to 11 with 640m long in total. They will solve the problem of lackness of the berthes and ease the crowed situation.

After the accomplishment of the Mopanshan Dock, the invironment of the Li River touring will be improved greatly and accelerate the developemnt of Guilin's tourism industry. The beautifulness of the dock becomes a charming scenery of the Li River and improvers its celebrity. After the use of the Mopanshan Dock, the boats can avoid the shallow from Guiling to Mopanshan and except for some extrordinary dry year, the tourists need not to change the boat at Yangdi, which can save charge and improver the punctuality. It also provide strong support to the management of the Li River.

The Mopanshan Dock is a part of the management investment which was invested by the trasportation bureau. It not only achive great social benifts but also gain good economy benifts with millions of income for our country. In 2000, Mopanshan Dock was selected as first rate dock  by Minstry of Communications. In April 2002, the dock was a part of management of the Li River touring leaded by the Commnication bureau. The dock has pass the IS09001 quility management system of Beijing United Intelligence Certification Co.,ltd., SO14001 environment management system of  Environment Management Certificate Center of Chinese Research Academy Of Environment Science and OHSAS18001 Occupation Health and Safty System.
