Guilin invests 2 bln yuan on communications construction

 

กกNANNING, March 15 (Xinhuanet) -- Guilin, the famous tourist resort in southwest China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, plans to invest 2.08 billion yuan (250 million US dollars) this year to develop communications facilities, according to local sources.

Expressways, ports, airports and bus stations will be the bulk of the city's communications construction, the sources said. The city will launch six expressway projects this year, with construction length totaling 287.4 km.

Guilin plans to build nine rural bus stations, one goods transportation center, port expansion project and a world communications fair park.

The tourism resort city will prioritize developing nine rural road networks at county level with total length and investment hitting 414.9 km and 242 million yuan (29.15 million US dollars).

Twenty-one small town and rural road renovation projects will also be put under construction, the source added.
